ELITE MEMBERSHIP RE-SALE

Asking price is $3,700.00 US plus $750.00 US transfer fee that must be paid by the buyer directly to Thousand Trails.

Once you have purchased your membership, the only cost to you each year is your annual dues to Thousand Trails.

Your yearly dues can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually to Thousand Trails. For this membership that fee is $675.00 US per year.

What do you get for your money?

  1. Access to all five zones which includes all of the continental US plus the one and only TT park in Canada located at Cultus Lake, British Columbia.
  2. You are entitled to stay at any TT park for a maximum of 21 days at no cost to you. That includes no cost for electrical. You pay nothing to the park. When you leave you may then travel to another TT park for a maximum of 21 days. The only restriction you have is that you must remain out of whatever park you just visited for seven days. You are free to use your membership all year long, there are no blackout dates.
  3. You are permitted to advance book a full 120 days ahead of your stay. You can book online using the TT website or by phone using the TT support system.
  4. This particular membership is very rare in that it has a high use exemption for one of the most popular parks in the United States. During the peak high usage time, the Palm Springs TT park imposes a restriction of 14 days maximum stay at a time and then you must be out of the park for an additional 28 days. This is due to the high demand for this wintertime destination. With this membership, the high usage restriction is waived which means you can stay in the park for 21 days at a time and then you must be out for seven days before rebooking the park again for up to another 21 days. This very rare exception along with the 120-day booking window is why this membership is priced higher than the Platinum membership.
  5. Any other entitlements and restrictions are clearly laid out in the contract. It is up to the buyer to thoroughly vet the specific contract associated with this membership prior to agreeing to all of the terms and conditions.

With most private parks charging an average of $60.00 per night and monthly parks charging a separate electrical bill, it is easy to see why the Thousand Trails membership is such an outstanding value. Once you have paid for the cost of the membership, your only future costs are your annual fees. Here are two images of the booking site. The first gives you an idea of the sheer number of choices you have and the second shows a couple of bookings showing no cost to the member to stay at the park.

A bit about Thousand Trails from their own website.

When you visit a Thousand Trails RV Resort & Campground, you'll notice the difference!

After all, with 50 years of experience in providing the best in outdoor destinations, recreation and family camping, we are still just as committed to making sure our properties are clean, safe, and fun for our guests as when we opened our first campground.

Why We Are Number One

Thousand Trails is the largest and most successful provider of RV resorts and campgrounds in North America with over 80 locations in 22 states and British Columbia, Canada. We have combined the beauty and relaxation of a scenic nature preserve with the resort-style amenities and security of an exclusive club. At each resort, we provide a secure, gated environment with park rangers who look out for our guests' safety – so you can focus on having fun. Today our parks are enjoyed by more than 100,000 member families and guests. Formerly only open to lifetime members, Thousand Trails has introduced the Thousand Trails Camping Pass, which provides a low-investment way to enjoy the benefits of resort-style camping on an annual basis. There are no sale presentations, no expensive up-front fees, and no long-term commitments.

Vacation Destinations

Thousand Trails Campgrounds are located in the country's most desirable resort and vacation destinations. You'll get to enjoy sunny Florida destinations like Orlando, the serenity of the Pennsylvania Dutch Country, the beauty of the Eastern Seaboard, Arizona's Red Rock Mountains, the Best Fishing Lakes in Texas and the Pacific Coast from California to Washington! We offer a lifestyle of leisure and vacation activities, from quiet picturesque beauty to fun themed weekends.

RV Friendly Campsites, Cabins & Other Rental Accommodations

Most of our campsites are fully equipped with electrical, water and sewer hookups, as well as barbeque pits and picnic tables. We can accommodate a wide variety of RVs from pop-up campers to Class A motorhomes. In addition to our spacious RV and tent sites, we also provide a full range of rental accommodations, from cabins & cottages to yurts, so you can leave your RV or tent at home and still enjoy our resorts in style.

Transfer Fee And Process

To initiate the sale process Thousand Trails requires time to put the proper paperwork together. In order for that to happen, they must have the full name or names of the purchasers and their home address. The actual paperwork process is time-consuming and can take up to three months to complete. The benefit of your patience is that you are purchasing a far superior membership for a fraction of the cost of a new one.

The paperwork is sent from the TT head office to the owner who completes their part first before sending it on to the buyer. Once the buyer has paid the seller the agreed upon purchase price, he or she completes the rest of the paperwork and returns it to TT along with the $750.00 US transfer fee. As soon as TT has deposited the fee they will send the new owner their new membership number and they can immediately begin the booking process.

To give you an idea of how much you can save, I spent five months in southern California and Arizona this past winter and I paid absolutely nothing to any of the RV parks I stayed in for my entire trip.

I am happy to answer a few questions by email but if you are serious about purchasing either of these memberships I encourage you to send me your phone number and a good time to call and I will be happy to talk to you.
